Talk is Cheap

Its good to have a number of Android phones laying around the house they are a use full tool.

I just bought a Nokia C110 for $32 with tax and everything. What is nice with these phones from Total Wireless is that you can get them cheap they will work on WiFi without activating service so then you have a cheap little pocket computer that you can use for many things.

https://www.totalwireless.com/ has really good semi unlocked phones you can use them on WiFi without activating service then if you get service its $40 a month for 3 months then the Phone is yours :) 

I have used the app https://www.talkatone.com/ and they have unlimited talk and text for free you can use it even if the phone you have is not activied just has to be done on wifi but it can call any US phone number

You will need to remove any linked US telephone numbers (for example, the phone number of the mobile and/or land line phones you use now).

Assuming you are using an Android or iPhone, open the Google Voice app. Tap the three horizontal bar menu icon in the top left. Tap Settings.

Tap "Devices and numbers". Tap "Change device number". Tap "No number" then tap Save. Scroll down and delete "tap "X") all US telephone numbers. Back out of this page.

Tap "Making ad receiving calls". Tap "Prefer Wi-fi and mobile data".

Tap "Incoming calls". Toggle on (blue) all devices you wish to ring, and toggle off (gray) any you don't want to ring on inbound calls.

$32 a year plan  it has bumped up to $45 a year now... to me its almost better to get the US moblie plan as a main phone but this could be a good backup still but you can get other phones that have unmlited talk for aroudn $60 a year.

If I talked a very limted amount this would be the plan that I would go with since its less than what most peoples monthly bills would be

You can get unlmited talk and text for $96 a year all in. 

I like to talk on the phone and want to be able to be reached most places and having phone service everywhere is worth the $100 or so a year to me.
